One more posting from Nancy Elwood's workshop at Laguna Seca Ranch in Texas' Rio Grande Valley. On our last morning we were blessed with a somewhat rare flyover of a White-Tailed Hawk. These birds have a range primarily in South and Central America, and extending only slightly into South Texas. As it happened I had stepped out of the blind to see a couple Scissor-Tailed Flycatchers that had been dropping by throughout the morning. Therefore I was hand-holding my Z 9 with the 100-400mm lens and 2.o teleconverter. That combination works beautifully, and of course the late-morning light was more than sufficient. Kevin
