Love capturing night sky images. Whether I capture the Milky Way or maybe a nightscape of some sort I love the experience of being out there alone looking skyward wondering if anyone up there is looking back. December night skies are busy, if the clouds cooperate, with meteors and the great conjunction. A break in the clouds this evening gave me a view of Jupiter and 4 moons. I made this image with a Nikon D500, a Sigma 50-500mm F 4.5-6.3 lens tripod mounted. With settings of 0.8 seconds at f/6.3, 500mm, and ISO 4000 I was pleased to get the shot. I'm no pro, I just enjoy capturing something I get excited about.
