The Milky Way Galactic Center is right where I wanted it, between the twin Keck telescopes on the summit of Mauna Kea, Hawaii. Keck II is testing its laser. The laser is used to measure atmospheric disturbances so that the 36 hexagonal mirrors that make up the 10 meter mirror can be individually adjusted to minimize any anomalies.

This shot was planned almost. year in advance with the help of the Photopills Application.
