The full moon of April, called the Pink Moon, occurred on Tuesday, April 7. It was the biggest "supermoon" of the year! It occurred at 10:35 p.m. EDT (0235 GMT on April 8), about 8 hours after reaching perigee, the nearest point from Earth in its orbit. Without prior experience shooting the night sky, I grabbed my D500 with 300 mmPF lens and decided to take my best shot. After a few failed attempts I was surprised to see the clarity and definition of the moon using Manuel settings ISO 100 and f/11. However, the moon never looked very pink to my eye.
