The Stearman Aircraft Corporation became a subsidiary of Boeing in 1934 so this Model 75N1 is technically a Boeing, although the aircraft are commonly called Stearman to this day. Over 10,000 Model 75 variants were produced in the 1930 and 40s, with a primary use as a military trainer. 450SR has been up-engined by the addition of a Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp Junior radial producing 450 HP, and is still registered as airworthy in the Experimental category to this day.
