It's late afternoon i november. Clouds are really thick and it's dark down by the stream but the white throated dippers are active, diving for insect larvae. I keep the ISO low to get clean captures, soft water and slow shutter speed.

Frode, this is a very striking image. Lots of different PP I am sure but I think this really work. Is that a Swallow? Many thanks for the stimulation of my mind. Handheld at 1/10 nice . Tom

Thanks Tom Smile That's a white throated dipper, really tough birds, spending most of their time diving in ice cold water to feed.

Hi Frode, the moshus ox in autumn colors is great. But I love this dipper photo much more, for its simplicity and for the color pallette. Marveless the brown top of the head while everything else is almost B&W, only little brouwns and greens in the water. Did you lower the color saturation in the water?

Thank you and sorry for late answer. This is a very dark place and no colours are reflected in the water.
