the lady selling was having trouble haggling with the Japanese women from a Photo Tour. I young Indian girl was trying to help with English but it also did not seem to be a mutual language. No sale Sad I was shooting the Indian lady . One lady is reaching for her money and the other is trying to stop her Smile. Motion blur and OOF intended Smile

Haggling is not something that is done in Japan; if the price says 500 yen - that is what everybody pays - or they simply don't purchase.

Yup, my experience in Japan as well. In some place such as Mexico, India , to name a couple, the vendor looks forward to the haggling as part of their enjoyment of the game. I used to see proper shops with a sign saying "Fixed Price" in the window or above the door but not so much there days. Even in the UK, if I were a regular customer at a small Boutique shop eg: Vivienne Westwood, I expected 'My' discount, haggling was very subtle Smile
