This is one of several shots I took with my Nikon D5500 when I was returning from a fell walk up Helvellyn in the Lake District where I live. The conditions and lighting were perfect but I did not have a tripod with me and I was concerned that, handheld, it would not be sharp. I set the camera to Aperture priority and the aperture to f11. The metering mode I set to pattern and this was the result. The original was shot in RAW.
Really interesting texture, gives a sort of painterly or maybe filmic impression with a kind of matte surface. Sharp but flattish?? Yeah, that's it; a contradiction in terms! LOL
Probably the Polaroid filter but not familiar with the effect and I don't recall seeing it on Nikonians. Looks great in any case. I'll steal it for later!
