On a walking safari through the Ongava Reserve in Namibia, our guide asked what we would like to see and I replied a dikdik. I had learned that a dikdik is the smallest species of antelope and native to Namibia. Our guide replied that they live up in the hills and they are not observed in this region. Remarkably, after a short walk, our guide stopped and cried out "dikdik". He pointed to a forested hillside and with the aide of a telephoto lens I spotted my first dikdik. I only wish I had my teleconverter with me!
