DeTomaso Pantera engine bay with a Ford Modular SOHC, 4.6L. V-8 motor.
The DeTomaso Pantera GTS was the "brain-child" of Lee Iacoca: "drop" a "big-block" American V-8, with its low-end "grunt" into an Italian made, mid-engine monocoque chassis for its handling ability. The first Panteras were powered by the Ford 351 c.i.d. "Cleveland" V-8 motor. This high torque motor reduced the need for excessive gear changes at low speeds, making the car less demanding to drive in urban areas. The owner of this Pantera had installed a Ford Modular SOHC, 4.6L. V-8 motor.
Program Normal, Pattern Metering, SB-900 at EV -1.3.
