Corvette "Sting Ray" "fuelie" motor. In the early 60's, Corvette enthusiasts could check the fuel-injected "box" on the car's order form, and receive a 283 c.i.d. or 327 c.i.d. V-8 motor with larger intake/exhaust ports and valves, four-bolt main bearings, and Rochester mechanical fuel injection. Mechanics hated these motors because they were difficult to tune correctly, but when correctly set-up were blisteringly fast. Aperture Priority, Pattern Metering, SB-900 at EV -1.3.
