PBlais Location: Hayes VA US Posts: 3,321 users gallery	Haven Beach is in Mathews County Virginia on the lower Chesapeake Bay. This is the western shore of the big end of the Chesapeake. Getting here is a navigation challenge now recommended in the dark. The image is from September 2015 at 7:30 AM. The light is a bit hard. I liked the color but it never got to 5 stars. I was there recently and posted a Landscape Morning Image with a sunrise. I came back to this one because the scene you see was devastated in a storm and now they repaired by bull dozing the sand straight and the vegetation along the shore is pretty much flattened and the dark rocks are about gone and covered with sand.
