Beautiful. I keep being captivated by the image because in a way it is clear what I see, but then I still do not understand it completely. The light comes from the lower left. Strange that partially it is the strongest at the groove between the slopes, close to a narrow band of shadow. I also love that the image is using the all-over concept: nothing that prevents me from imagining that it goes on and on in all directions, no noticeable decrease of the perceived size of dunes at the top edge of the frame due to the use of a longer focal length or cropping, selection of in reality smaller dunes in the foreground, no vignetting darkening the corners. Finally, the dark dots (shrubs?) make the dune surfaces look like skin, showing all the tones of grey.
