That's a solid shot Angi, bravo! She's an American Lady (Vanessa virginensis). I see you also have the Red Admiral (V. atalanta). In the US there are four Vanessas and now you have half of them. One of these days you should run across the third, V. cardui, the Painted Lady but you might have to travel for V. Annabella, the West Coast Lady. In the end, you'll find it's hard to say which is the most beautiful. Whether east or west, they're all fond of thistles and big yellow composites.
