Gorham Mountain Trail is a must hike. For those of you that are more experienced hiking the Cadillac Cliff Trail on the way up (or down) provides an added degree of difficulty. Views are worth it once you reach the summit. Along the trail there is a plaque honoring Waldron Bates. He was the first to utilize stone stairways and iron rung ladders in the trails to help hikers traverse the landscapes of Acadia and is recognized as "The Pathmaker". Hiking distance is about 2 miles.
