Lucky to grow up next door to a piano prodigy.
She "returned" in a dream image, rendered on clay from memory; steps:
Roll out a ball of Navaho Wheel clay into a 3/8" thick disc.
Tone the background by sponging underglazes onto the spinning disc; blend with a silicone spatula.
Dry until leather hard.
Paint the eyes and other features with fine brushes, using thin layers of underglazes.
Add highlights to eyes, hair, earrings, etc.
Adjust the background and foreground tones with a finger.
Fire at cone 6 when bone dry.
