Mood piece inspired by Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" album, loose likeness; steps:
Roll out a 3/8" slab of B-Mix clay, cut to desired shape; 6x9".
Let dry until hard leather hard, 36-48 hours.
Spray with black, then blue underglaze.
Scratch in image through the colors with bits of steel wool on a toothpick and a fiberglass brush.
Dry slowly until bone dry (warm on the cheek).
Bisque fire.
Spray a gradated Koke blue glaze, then spray clear glaze, then fire to cone 6.
