It was a warm summer evening and I was out shooting long after dark. I had scouted this location earlier in the day and loved the giant beachballs lining the street in the industrial hinterland. I drove about 30 miles away and shot at another location and then returned to this site. On the way back on the highway a semi-trailer with strawberry amusement park ride passed us in the car. I said, "I'd love to photograph that - it's so bizarre'. About an hour later, as I was framing the beachball shot, guess what drove right into my shot and parked for several minutes? You just can't plan stuff like that.
