Feb 22, 2012. We're waiting for signs that eggs have been laid, and for a while it seemed there were eggs in the nest. One of the eagles seemed hunkered down in the nest while the mate was out for a couple hours. If you look to the lower left in the photo you'll see dad's white head just barely visible.
About 30 mins later dad got up and flew off, followed shortly by mom's departure. When neither one returned for 40 minutes it became obvious there were no eggs in the nest. Guess dad was just practicing.
