The bright red color of these leaves with the frost crystals caught my eye. There were some air currents so I used a high ISO to get the shutter speed to 1/125s. This is a 20 frame stack combined using CombineZP.


Less than a minute after I finished shooting the images for the stack, the sun hit the leaves changing the lighting and melting the frost.


This image won the February Micro, Macro and Closeup Challenge - Category was Frozen
