One of the baby bald eagles during their branch-hopping or pre-fledgling phase of development. During this phase they frequently extend their wings and flap briefly, strengthening them in preparation for their upcoming fledging day. Meanwhile they hop from branch to branch in the nest tree, apparently researching the ideal departure site.
