Taken during my first ANPAT (#4) at Rocky Mountain National Park. This was my reward after having survived a near death experience climbing up the trail in the cold dark lugging a 35 pound camera backpack and a ten pound tripod at 10,000 feet. I felt like I had a truck sitting on my chest and had to stop while the rest of the group went on up to Bear Lake. Step by step, I finally caught up to them at the lake in time to capture this image. By the way, I had never photographed a sunrise before this trip.
