Outstanding, Dave. I know that your being in the Quad Cities area means you are near eagles along the Mighty Miss - is that the body of water in the shot? I love the eagle bending its neck to check on its catch. Totally cool.

This is on the Mississippi at Lock and Dam 14 near LeClaire, IA. We usually get a large number of eagles with the season peaking throughout January. L&D 14 allows close access and probably some of the best eagle shooting ops on the upper Mississippi. On a good day you could get some good shots with your 70-300.

Thank you Prasad! The border is made in Photoshop. I just increase the canvas size by a few pixels at a time alternating between black and white. You must always increase the size by multiples of 2 i.e. if you what to make a 1 pixel line you increase the canvas size by 2 pixels. .... I have created an action in photo shop so I can create the entire mat in one key stroke.
