Late winter afternoon light on Cody Peak, named for Buffalo Bill Cody whose old hunting lodge of Pahaska Tepee lies at its base. Pahaska is now a resort about 2 miles out of the east entrance to Yellowstone N.P. In this late January shot, snow depths at this elevation (7000 feet) were about 6 feet on the level.
