Every winter, a few dozen buffalo cross the high mountain passes between Yellowstone and the North Fork of the Shoshone. This buffalo was one of a small herd of bulls. Okay, someone's saying I should call him a "bison". Well, the common name is "buffalo"; scientific name is "bison bison". I will call him a "bison" if you'll call an elk a "cervus elaphus".
