Rick's portrait was taken with a Nikon D3s mounted on a Gitzto 5 series carbon-fiber tripod equipped with a Wimberley gimbal head, and the Nikon 600mm f/4 VR lens. ISO 200, f/11 at 1/200, distance from the sensor, sixty feet, five inches.

Tripod was weighted with twenty pounds of sandbags. D3s had its mirror locked up and the shutter was triggered using a cable release.

Rick appreciates precision, and it shows in everything he does.

The shot was taken at the Vancouver Photo Workshop studios.

Of course! Nikonians veterans wear black!
Although sage is often self-allowed in the summer in bug-infested lands and when gone wild and festive they may go as far as khaki or tan, but that's it! ;-)
You must have had a fun day at that studio shooting. Well done.
