Reflections of Solitude

The Bow Range, Herbert Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta Canada. Made with a Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm lens @ 20mm. A storm was just clearing the mountains. I've seen many photos from this location, all with the same patch of grass in the foreground. On this day, the reflection was almost perfect on the still-as-glass water and I wanted to focus on that and the moody weather. so, I used the trees on the far side of the lake to split the image and let the lake mirror the mountain above. The parting mist, clouds, snow, and the very stillness of the scene spoke to me of solitude. The air was still and silent, not another person, or vehicle, within earshot.

Affonso, I believe you've been speaking to Gerold Brinkema (Asgard) too. He moved my photo after I uploaded it to the other contest. Looks like they have a programming problem to resolve with the march contest gallery.
