Whilst I was at Penrhys photographing images for my Landscape Photography Course Project, I spotted this beacon which was constructed for the Millennium. To welcome the new century, beacons were lit from hill top to hill top throughout the UK replicating the ancient method of communicating to the nation.

The negative of this photograph was scanned using my Nikon Coolscan V ED at 4,000 dpi. This image has been compressed but not manipulated.
