Thank you Michael for your hard work in crafting this unique experience for all of us. I can see why you care so much for "your backyard."

This is incredibly just one exposure. Michael worked hard in teaching us about making long exposures. Also he had us get our cameras down to about 2 inches above the ebb and flow of the surf. It was challenge to compose a scene under the circumstances, expecting imminent immersion of camera and operator in salt water.

D300, 12-24mm F/4G, 17mm, F/22, 30s, ISO 200, Singh-Ray Vari-N-Duo filter, tripod mounted, remote release. (And this was a manual exposure, Michael.)
