I remember riding around this great brick edifice on the banks of the River Tyne over 25 years ago, when it was still a functioning flour mill. Converted in recent years after an international architectural competition, to be the premier modern art gallery of the North, complimenting on a smaller scale, the Tate Modern on the Thames. Refer to "the Sage" in the architectural forum to see what's next door.
