Beautiful blue, my favorite color! Was this taken in IR, or is it a desaturation and brightening of green channel? Do tell, do tell, Thanks.

Thank you for your comment! It was captured with an IR-converted Nikon D70s and processed in Capture NX2. You wouldn't be able to get an image like this with faux-IR processing.

Jeff, absolutely beautiful shot! I am considering converting one of a pair of D1x's that I have to IR. Could you tell me, when you shoot with an IR converted DSLR, does the blue of the sky come like that out of the camera or is it put back in during post. It appears that there is some extra blue saturation just around the foliage on the tree in the upper left corner so I'm guessing that the blue is added back in, however, since I have no experience with IR work yet I'm just guessing. If it comes like that out of the camera, even better!

Again, stunning image! I don't usually care for much of the IR stuff that I've seen but this one makes me want to go ahead with that conversion and try it out.
