This is a newly emerged dragonfly I found between two conifers in the garden.

Amazing detail! I like this shot a lot, and commend you on your use of natural lighting. (It's what I prefer as well.)


The clear portion of the wings has the appearance of a stained glass window.

Thank you very much Smile I wanted high DOF and low noise, and was lucky that the wind completely dropped for a while.

Wow. DOF indeed. I have been trying with dragonflies for a few years, but nothing like that! Amazing you go 1.6 seconds without movement.
