Those are two Snowy Egrets. The sitting bird was trying to get some food, while the standing bird tried a mating ritual. It did not work out. The time was the end of February. It could be that this is a little bit to early for this kind of games. I had only a few shots before the whole session was over. One could say that the wings of the standing bird shouldn't be cut off. In my opinion one can cut off what ever he/she likes, as long as the image has a message and keeps the viewer. The only nit which I have is the lower left side of the sitting bird. I would like to have a little bit more space there. What do you think ?
