Melting Copper
A copper plate under a oxy-propane torch. Copper melts at around 2,000 deg F (1,000 deg C), this was a hot flame! Colours are as taken, only PS was some smart sharpening

You should seriously look at this month's challenge - flower close-ups - right up your alley! I thinks there are going to be a huge amount of entries this month.

Richard, an excellent photo and an interesting subject. Looking at the smaller sized photo, I thought it was a bullet being fired from a gun. My mistake.
