The ceiling under which the downfall of East Germany started to brew in the 1990's. Moreover, it is really beautiful on top of being a moving monument.


Addendum, 2013: this image has been sitting here for 8 years, and it's only now that I notice that I have got the name wrong... duh!

Russ, the crop you suggest was already suggested when I posted it to the architecture forum... I have decided against it because it represents the source of the light on the columns, and I think it "balances the unbalance" it creates in the shot...
