This image shows just how much more of the scene the 10.5mm Nikkor captures compared to the 12-24mm Nikkor, even when "defished" using Nikon Capture. It's especially noticeable in the vertcal aspect. Both images are uncropped (allowing for the necessary loss on the 10.5 - you can't have 180 degrees in a rectangular image). Note that I was slightly closer to the sofa with the tripod when using the 10.5mm than I was with the 12-24mm so, really, the difference is even more pronounced than you see here. These were part of an interior set of shots for a friend who wants to market his Gite on the Net. I wasn't getting paid enough to deal with the highlights in the windows and door ;-)
