Shot looking across Bassenthwaite Water towards Keswick, whilst waiting on a sunset that never really materialised. Ideally I would have liked a longer exposure to 'smooth out' the water, unfortunately I was struggling to stop the sky from 'blowing out' without any sort of Grad filter in my armoury (as yet).

Would also have preferred to shift the horizon further off centre, but the features I wanted to keep really meant lining it up where it was. On the whole I'm fairly happy with it all the same.

...and so you should be 'fairly happy' with this landscape image. You have done well to preserve the foreground details while they are in shadow. That's a lovely sky about the hills, despite the sunset not materialising. The foreground rocks are well captured and that lone tree on the promontory is magnificent in making this picture very pleasing. Nice one.
