A shorter exposure of Jupiter was layered onto a longer exposure of Jupiter's Moons and Uranus


Nikon D300 500 f/4 AFS + TC17E-II
A Questar 7 fork mount provided tracking


Short exposure: 1/50s f/11 ISO 200
Long Exposure: 13s f/8 ISO 400


The short exposure of Jupiter could easily be done on a fixed tripod and I have done it several times, as well as dimmer Saturn.
