Photo taken during summer 2008 on the Atlantic coast. The kids had lots of fun with their bicycles.
Nikon D200,Nikkor 18-200 VR,
1/500s, f/7.1, ISO 400, 170mm late afternoon light.

Great photo: It tells a story (two kids riding a bike along a lake, having a great time); and the red shirt contrasts nice with the background (and the blue shirt adds something too, even if there isn't much of it). Sharp. Nice white balance/color/tone.


The only thing it seems a little lacking in is the top half of the background -- a big gray sky (and hills?) of nothing.


But on the most important factors: a photo that provides smiles and interest for the viewer, it's a winner.

I like it too. The impressionistic background focuses the viewer's attention on the bike riders. Good job!
