Somedays I like to hang out in my back yard to see what shows up to photograph. Last year I saw one single dragon fly all year. This year I have had frequent visits. Yesterday I shot a dragon fly with my 300mm lens and 1.7 TC, but decided to try again today with a smaller aperture, even though like yesterday I was hand holding. I use Auto ISO, so I knew the ISO would go up and it did from ISO 400 yesterday ISO 2500 today. This is my result:
D700 with 300 mm f/4 AFS lens and Nikon 1.7 TC at f/13. 1/640 sec, ISO 2500.
