Let me start by saying that I live in San Jose CA, which is the 10th largest city in the USA, yet there is an abundance of wild life within a few miles from home. Last week I did not have to travel anywhere to see wildlife as it came to me. When I awoke and was making coffee, I noticed 2 wild Mallards, male and female were in my back yard using the pool and the surrounding deck like a private resort. They stayed all day and came back three days in a row before I left town. I have not seen them since, so I assume their vacation was over.
