A few moments with nature this week! I was running after bumble bees this week trying to capture one in flight and finally after 3 days work I got the silly shot. A true exercise!

Hi Debra - you know what they say - "Busy as a Bee". A tough assignment, I still don't have a worthy keeper shot yet.
Suggestion - bring your ISO up, even 400 should still produce acceptable results. Stop down to f/11 & use a flash, but turn down the EV to about -2.0EV (use the TTL BL FP mode on the SB800).
Regards,
Richard

Thank you gentlemen for the comments. Richard just curious as to why you suggested using flash? I like the soft background as it is.

Hey Debra!
Richard's suggestion has merit...if you carry a tripod (even a cheapie)...a well placed 600 or 800 could add just a little extra to bring in definition at the subject plane...but still leave enough background to finish the story.
Practice several positions with non-moving objects, then stabilize the artificial light and wait for the shot....
(I always end up hand holding the flash)
