Beautiful bird. I wish you could have filled the frame. May be you can post it again after cropping out the dead space around the twig and bird.

Dead space? I composed it like that, with an f-stop that would give me some nice bokeh.

I think your composition is very good and I like the way you used the wide aperture but I also think that with the size of the subject matter the picture needs some cropping. Nice shot though:)

Sure, it's possible to crop it some more. It may even look better on some level. But I wanted to capture something of the smallness of this blue bird on the Missouri prairie.
