Yesterday was such a nice day in San Jose, CA, I decided to go to Lake Vasona again even though I pretty much struck out last time. I am glad I did as I got a few good images.This bird has been ID'd by Bill and others in the wildlife forum as a juvenile GBH. This bird had Grey feet, is about 12-18 inches tall and had long legs. He was right at the edge of the lake on some rocks as I was about to walk past. Shot with D700 and 300 mm EDIF AFS f/3 lens with Nikon 2X EII teleconverter all mounted on a Gitzo 3541L with Markins M20L ballhead. f/10, 1/640s, ISO Auto (4500)
