I'm posting these two pix to demonstrate how the same color temperature settings don't necessarily mean the same color in the photograph. I took this picture of a red dress (getting the reds in a photo right seems to be the hardest for me to do) with a D80, 12-bit NEF. I then opened the NEF in Capture NX2 and in CS4 (which opened it into ACR). As of 11 Jan 2008, this is the latest available version of CS4. The temperature in both programs is set to 6050K, with a tint of 0. This is the version done with NX2.
