I am not quite sure what kind of bird this is but I think it is in the Goldfinch family. Anyone who knows for sure, please help. Shot with D700 and 300 mm f/4 EDIF AFS lens with Nikon 1.7 EII Teleconverter attached to create a 500 mm lens on Bogen Monopod. Processed and cropped in Capture NX2 and further elimination of some out of focus branches and a final sharpening in LAB space done in Photoshop CS4 Extended. f/8, 1/500, ISO 200
