I've been seeing this bird as I entered the park I visit and finally got a picture of it. Bird was about 30m away and photo is a 33% enlargement before the crop. I will update this photo when I get a better one, but for now I like it as an ID shot of the face and beak.


D300, 500VR/1.4TC, iso 400, f/7.1, 1/1600s. Rested and hand-held.
