Nice work James. Good control of lighting, which looks like it was a challenge here. I like the fact the subject fills the frame. Excellent detail.....from that under-appreciated 18-70.

Thanks Barry. We had planned on driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, but it was closed.
That left me with some limited views, so I tried to make the best of it! Midday sun is tough. Next year we'll be spending a lot more time in the mountains to get 'the shot'.....
