Marshal Zhukov was a famous Russian General of WW II. His monument is placed near the Historical museum in Red Square. It was designed by the sculptor Klykov to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the victory over Fascist Germany (1995). I was touring Red Square at night and came upon this scene. The picture was extremely difficult to take, but I wanted to capture the dramatic lighting of the red historical museum as it outlined the General and his horse, so I shot totally by available light and hand held. Shot with D200 and 35-70 mm f/2.8 D zoom at 70mm. F/3.2, 1/15s hand held, ISO 800.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop and comment. I too am happy with the way it turned out considering the shooting conditions.
