In the winter when it rains in northern California, this creek is full from bank to bank, of which this is just a small section. When the summer drought comes the creek bed becomes dry as a bone and hardy weeds take over. This is a view of one section of the creek bed just before sundown.
Shot with D200 and 12-24 f/4DX on Gitzo 3541L tripod with Markins M20L ballhead. f/11, 1/30, ISO 200, 12 mm used. RAW image processed and cropped in Capture NX2 and then moved to PSCS3 Extended where a luminosity blend was applied in RGB mode and final sharpening done.EDIT 7/24/08 Lightened up the right side shrubs.
